Water/Energy Nexus

The Department of Energy has prepared a report discussing the interdependence of Water and Energy. Water is used in all phases of energy production and electricity generation. Water scarcity, variability, and uncertainty are becoming more prominent due to Climate Change. This can potentially lead to vulnerabilities in the U.S. Energy system. The executive summary of the 2014 U.S. Department of Energy Report “The Water-Energy Nexus” Challenges and Opportunities Overview and Summary” is on our website and Facebook page.
